Starting in 1972 as managing owner in our families dairy farm, my involvement in 4-H and FFA instilled my values in Registered Livestock. First in Registered Berkshire Hogs, then in Holstein Milk Cows. In 1996 I purchased 4 Registered Clydesdale Mares from WI Breeders. One mare was Bookside Rhonda became the foundation of our Breeding Herd. Rhonda was not a big mare but had tremendous genetics, she produced great offspring from various sires. Pedigree's matter in all livestock genetics, it is not easy  finding genes that compliment various bloodlines. Often times great transmitting genes only come from the maternal side of the pedigree at least that is my experience. 

Sires like Greedykes Reflection Pinnacle's Lucky Strike and Highfield Colessie have given us some special mares and stallions to work and breed from. One of them being our current Herd Sire, Mistyland Jinx. He is the only black Stallion produced by Pinnacle's Lucky Strike. Jinx is currently going strong at 14 years old and has all of our mares settled and confirmed in foal for 2024! 

The qualities we look for are disposition, vigor, attractive head, neck and shoulder, big feet, quality, feather and natural athletic ability. Jim possesses all of these qualities and passes them on to his offspring. Jinx is available for on farm breeding for the the rest of 2023!
